Who we are

Predicts10 is a free-to-play football prediction game. This page explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

  • Account information: your email address, username, and password. Your password is stored securely by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
  • Gameplay information: the predictions you make, the points you earn, and your position on the leaderboard. Your username, points and positions are shown publicly on the leaderboards and gameweek roundups.
  • Prize information (winners only): if you win a prize we ask for the name on your UK bank account, its sort code and account number, and we may ask for photo ID to confirm your identity and age. We only ask when you win, by email.
  • Security records: when you sign up, log in, save a prediction or make a Last Man Standing pick we record your IP address, the email used (for sign-up and login) and the time, in our own database, and delete these records after 90 days. We use these to prevent abuse and to spot people running more than one account.
  • Technical information: standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type), collected automatically by our hosting providers.
  • Cookies: a small essential cookie that keeps you logged in. See the Cookies & advertising section below.

How we use it

  • To create and run your account, and let you make predictions.
  • To calculate scores and leaderboards.
  • To contact prize winners, pay them, and check their identity and bank account.
  • To prevent fraud and enforce our one-account-per-person rule, including by comparing the IP addresses used to sign up, log in and play and activity between accounts.
  • To send occasional reminders about upcoming prediction deadlines.
  • To keep the site secure and working properly.

Why we're allowed to use it

  • Running your account and the game is needed to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Paying prizes and keeping payment records is needed to honour the prize you won, and to meet our accounting obligations.
  • Preventing fraud and multiple accounts is in our legitimate interest in running a fair prize competition.
  • Advertising cookies are used only with your consent, through the consent message shown on the site.

Cookies & advertising

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in - the site won't work properly without it, and it isn't used for tracking or advertising.

Our sign-up page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that may set its own cookies while it runs. Google's consent message remembers your choice in a cookie.

This site is supported by advertising. Once ads are live, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, and read more in Google's Partner Sites policy.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site, who process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase - database hosting and account authentication.
  • Vercel - website hosting and page-view analytics.
  • Cloudflare - the Turnstile bot check on the sign-up page.
  • Google - the consent message, and advertising (AdSense) once ads are live on the site.
  • Our bank - when we pay a prize, to make the transfer.

Some information is public by design: usernames, points and positions appear on the leaderboards and gameweek roundups, and prize winners' usernames, amounts and payment dates are listed on the Paid Out page. We never publish your email address or bank details.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and gameplay information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time using the contact details below.

Sign-up and login security records are kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards. If an account has been suspended we may keep them for longer so we can enforce our rules. Identity documents sent to verify a winner are deleted once they've been checked. We keep a record of each prize payment (the date, the amount and the name it was paid to) for our accounting records.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and request a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. If you're not happy with how we've handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time - check back here for the latest version.
