Leaderboard

Scoring is 10 points for an exact scoreline, 3 for the correct result with the wrong score. When two or more players end up on the same points, we go through these steps in order until the tie breaks:

1. Total goal-difference - for every game, add up how far off the predicted home and away goals were from the real score, then total that across the gameweek. Smaller total wins - it rewards being consistently close, not just lucky on one game.
2. Most exact scores in the gameweek.
3. Most correct results (right winner or draw, even if the score was wrong).
4. Most correct draws - draws are statistically the hardest outcome to call, so among players tied on correct results, whoever called more draws correctly ranks higher.
5. Most correctly-called upsets - fixtures where most players picked one outcome and the underdog won instead. Calling those right is harder than following the crowd, so it counts for more.
6. Most correct "both teams to score" calls that gameweek.
7. Most correct "win to nil" calls that gameweek.
8. Golden pick accuracy - who was closer on the one fixture they doubled points on that week. This step only applies when looking at a single gameweek; the all-time Overall view stops at step 7 since it spans multiple golden picks per player.

Worked example:Player A and Player B both finish a gameweek on 39 points, with the same total goal-difference, exact scores and correct results. Neither called a draw correctly, but Player A correctly called 2 upsets against the crowd's favourite, while Player B only called 1. Player A wins the tiebreak at that step, before it ever needs to look at BTTS, win to nil, or the golden pick.
