Gameweek 6 Preview
Predicts10's own score for every fixture, before a ball is kicked
The preview
Predict and Last Man Standing are both back on Tuesday 6 October, and the gameweek they're reopening with has more unbeaten teams in it than any other so far this season. Manchester City are the standout - five wins out of five - but Leeds, Brentford, Everton and Liverpool have all gone unbeaten through five games too, and three of those four are in action this weekend.
Here's Predicts10's own call on all ten fixtures, with the reasoning behind each one. Nothing about how the crowd is actually leaning appears below until a fixture locks - that part fills in automatically once predictions close, the same rule the live Fixtures page follows.
Arsenal had won four straight before a 3-0 defeat at Brighton last time out. Leeds are the only unbeaten team in the division - two wins and three draws from five - but three of those five results have been draws.
A good side reacting to its first defeat of the season, at home, against a team whose unbeaten run has leaned heavily on draws rather than wins - Arsenal edge it.
Final score: 2-1 - we called it exactly.
Villa had won only once in five before a 3-2 away win at Tottenham last week. Brentford are unbeaten in five - two wins, three draws - and have made a habit of frustrating better sides.
Villa's revival looks real, but Brentford still haven't lost all season - a draw fits both records.
Final score: 2-2 - we got the result right.
Ipswich have lost three of five, including at home to Everton last time out. Fulham are still without a win this season but have kept back-to-back clean sheets in draws.
Fulham's defensive form has quietly improved, and Ipswich's home form hasn't been reliable enough to punish it.
Final score: 2-1 - we missed it.
Sunderland have conceded five in back-to-back gameweeks. Brighton arrive full of confidence after stunning Arsenal 3-0 last week, and have won three of their last four.
Brighton's form and Sunderland's leaky defence point the same way.
Final score: 0-2 - we got the result right.
Chelsea have lost two of their last three, including a heavy 3-0 defeat at Brentford. Bournemouth still haven't won a game all season and have scored only six goals in five.
Chelsea need a response, and Bournemouth's toothless attack makes home advantage count for a lot here.
Final score: 5-1 - we got the result right.
Manchester United have won only once in five but are unbeaten in their last two. Tottenham are still searching for their first win of the season, and lost at home to Aston Villa last week despite scoring twice.
Neither side has convinced anyone yet, but United have at least stopped losing - Spurs haven't started winning.
Final score: 1-1 - we missed it.
Both of Palace's wins this season have come away from home, and they lost their last home game 2-3 to Ipswich. Forest lost at home to bottom-of-the-table Coventry last week.
Palace have shown they can score even in defeats, and Forest's home form collapsing against Coventry is the bigger red flag.
Final score: 3-1 - we got the result right.
Hull's opening-day win over Manchester United feels a long time ago now - two draws followed by a first defeat, at Newcastle last week. Everton are one of only four teams yet to lose all season.
Everton's unbeaten record and Hull's fading form point to an away win.
Final score: 2-2 - we missed it.
The only unbeaten-versus-unbeaten fixture of the round. Liverpool haven't lost all season but have drawn three of five. City have won every single game.
City are the division's form team by some distance, five wins from five, and Liverpool's own unbeaten run has leaned on draws rather than victories.
Final score: 0-3 - we got the result right.
Coventry's first win of the season came away at Nottingham Forest last week, after four straight defeats. Newcastle bounced back from a heavy 1-4 defeat at Leeds with a win over Hull.
A tougher task for Coventry than last week, against a Newcastle side who've already shown they can respond to a bad result.
Final score: 4-1 - we missed it.
